I am looking to get a 68-70 Dodge B-body project car, and i want to be able to get new body panels if i am unable to find good used ones. What cars should i avoid if panels are not available? I found a 68 Superbee that is in need of several body panels and floors replaced. Not sure if i want to go that deep into it though. I have an ebody that my son and I rebuilt over the last 20 years, and most of the panels are available for those cars.

66-70 floors are the same part, and are readily available from AMD. I don't think you are going to have a problem on most things on that 68.

There are no repops of the fenders for the 68 Coronet/Super Bee family. You'll need to find a good factory pair. However, quarter panels and doors are available.

Are there any other companies that produce sheet metal besides AMD? this car may need a roof skin as well.

Sherman does, but I'm not sure what they make for that body style. I had to get a replacement door and quarter skin for my Coronet, but I went with AMD. The door was fine - not great, but good enough. The quarter skin was perfect.

The AMD quarter panels are specific to the 69 Coronets, so you will have to do some modifications to the quarters to use the 68 style side marker lights, otherwise, they will fit fine. Door skins are the same, as well as the floor pans, trunk pans, dutchman panel and roof. It is best to sit down and look through the AMD website or catalog to see what you will need and availability. No trunk lids, fenders or hoods are available in a reproduction for the 68 model year.

AMD is a bit more pricey as compared to the Dynacor or Sherman product line, but the quality will be worth the investment. Also, almost all of these pieces will need a bit of tweaking for the he best fit scenario.
