This came off my 65 slant 6 Belvedere that I disassembled probably 20 years ago and I can’t remember what it is. Can’t find images online either. Thanks.

Looks like something that is rotated to different positions with a push-pull linkage. Does not seem to be 3 speed manual column shift linkage because of the offset rod but the T pin in the end makes it look like the end of a steering shaft. There is something that attaches to that position selector lever which rotates the offset rod. Almost like a school bus door kind of thing.

No. Came from a 3 speed on the column /6 setup

That's sort of what I said but I'm not sure. Might be part of the shifter or something that works in conjunction with it. Obviously that bracket bolts to something flat like maybe where the lower firewall meets the floor. Has to be something like that. Was it a 4 door? Maybe it was some sort of service or fleet vehicle and that part was some added-on thing for whatever it originally was intended for.

It’s a 2 door and my Grandmother purchased it new. So not a fleet/service vehicle. Thanks for the ideas.

Found it. I just remembered that I have a '65 FSM and section 21, page 4, Fig. 6 shows the part. It's a "torque shaft" which is basically the same as the later console floor shifter linkage, just differently configured.

The picture makes it look like it might bolt to the inner frame perpendicular to the driveline so see if the holes on the bracket line up with something in that area on the car. There are two rods - the "s" shaped one is connected to the 2-3 shifter lever on the trans and the other which attaches to the lever on the offset shaft transmits the column linkage movement.

Awesome. Thank you Beep! I knew it had something to do with the 3spd setup but I had tunnel vision over something to do with the clutch linkage and I couldn’t find it.
