You can use grade 5. Thread is 3/8-16 or if you are using the two lowest points near the pan rail use 7/16" with a nut as they are not threaded. Thread engagement should be no less than a diameter of the fastener, preferably two. Length will be dictated by the thread engagement and the length of the engine stand fixture. You may also need a thick washer.
