What do I look for if I want to install 15" cragars x 8" on rear and 15"x7" on front on my 1968 coronet R/T. They keep talking off set and when I check compatability it says they won't fit. Need help and does anyone have a good contact for these in Canada.

I have a 67 coronet R/T and I have 15x8 with 275/60/15's on the rear with 4.5 backspacing and 15x7 with 225/60/15's on the front with 4.25 backspacing I know that setup will fit on a 68

here a pic to see what they look like

5 words "PERCEY WHEEL/TIRE FITMENT TOOL"

Looks great, I agree, :iamwithstupid: Those are both good #'s for rims back off set, for 15x7's & 15x8's... on a 68 Coronet R/T you can go even wider on the rims & tires especially in the rear, 15x9 w/5" B/S & 295/50/15's will easily fit, with no rubbing issues anywhere... I have 245/60/15's front & 295/50/15's rear on a 68 RR with no rubbing isssues & the wheel wells are just slightly larger on the 68 Coronets, "I think"... Also there is a great tire/wheel fitment tool from PERCEY for about $70 from Summit Racing, it's well worth the minor expense/investment to make sure to get the proper height, width, fit & look, for your specific ride height & suspension...

68Coronet , sorry no Canadian contacts

wondering if the 4.5" back spacing will work in the front with stock drums with a 15x7 wheel? 255 - 60 / 15 all around. The mag 500's from wheel vintiques have a 4.25 back spacing hope this works with the stock drums.

Very Helpful,thanks

The front has been changed to disc brakes, how much difference does this make?

I forgot to mention the front has been changed to disc brakes does this make a difference?

68Coronet, Disc are like 1/4" each side wider track, if I remember correctly, you should be fine...

bigman, Is this on the RR ??, Why so much wheel offset/back space on the front, with only a 7" wide rim ??, I'm just curious... with 4.25" & only a 1/2" either side shouldn't be too bad, depending on ride height, but I'm not 100% sure, but with a 255/60/15 it may be really tight on the "inside tire clearances" on full lock to lock turns, sway bar or inner wheel well frame areas etc., you will probably have a ton of room on the outside, you could always add a 1/4" spacer on either side if you have any clearance issues... I don't think the drum brakes with 15's will be any issue at all, even if you were to go with the 4.5" B/S, except maybe at the "lower ball joint to tie rod ends", maybe at the sway bar & wheel well/frame areas like I said above, "maybe" ride height will make a difference... Good luck

I had a 68 RR & 68 Charger R/T with G-50-14's on 14x8's Cragers on the front & 15x10's with N-50-15's rear, back in the day, not sure what offsets they were, but they didn't rub that I remember anyway, my cars were front high, with torsion bars cranked up, then thou... what can I say I was young & dumb...

I went to skinny fronts & the LA rake, very shortly after that....LOL...

Yeah for my RR I was looking at the mag 500's on Summit's site by wheel vintiques they say on the 15x7's the b/s is 4.25. I like even tires all around but want the fattest 60 or 50 I can get in there. I'm wondering if 275's would fit up front on 15's and what spacing would be needed.

15X8 4.5 backspace with 275R/60/15 rear tuck in nice.
On the '63 ply blelve'.

I'm not sure on the front, I never had a tire that tall on the front of any Mopar, A 275/60/15 are 28" tall x 9" tread x 10.5"-11" girth & depending on ride height, you may have rubbing on the inside near the frame/sway-bar area & outside at the fender lip when full lock to lock turning &/or while turned & off camber &/or thru a bump &/or off kilter type driveway entries, etc., Just a heads up/wraning, too wide of a tire on the front of the stock style suspension cars, will track/wonder like hell too, especially at freeway speeds...
