I got a hemi crank in a package deal yesterday and have no need for it at the moment but don't know what it's worth. The casting numbers I found are 2780533
So many people are using new aftermarket cranks these days so hard to say how saleable an original is. I suppose if it has been magged and given a clean bill of health then someone will want it, but not sure the price. I have one that is worth the value of scrap metal.
I will try to get some pics this afternoon. It's about the color of aluminum, unlike any crank that I've ever seen. It needs to be cleaned up and introduced to some oil. Just from looking at a few casting numbers last night my best guess is that this is a 426 crank?
Some industrial 413 blocks from the early 70's came with a hemi-type crank with 8 bolt flange. I think you can tell it apart because the rear snout is longer? All I am saying is double check it.
I couldn't tell you the first thing about it. I got it in a deal with a 440 block because I couldn't get the guy to separate it. Do yall think it would be worth 100?
