hi,,,me again. for you ford dudes or x-ford dudes...or anyone that knows about them i have a whats it worth question.

my good friend of many years has a 1972 Mach 1 fast back Mustang. he bought this car off of the showroom floor in 1972. he still has it. completely UNMOLESTED. AND ALL ORIGINAL. it has a 351 cleveland, automatic. absolutely nothing on this car has been tampered with. it even has the original ugly forest green paint with silver stripes. he has an original go wing that he bought from ford for it years ago and its still in the box and was never put on the car. the car runs like the day he bought it. What would this car be worth??

This site may be able to help you, or him.. The way you describe it, id say some good change for it.. My sister bought the same thing but yellow with the black stripes, Im not partial to ford at all but that was a nice looking and fast car, i almost wrecked it one night i borrowed it because the trans went out of my Buick.. Good luck, may be you'll find the right one at the site there and want it.. If hes selling it.. or tell you what its worth, all original is saying a lot for what was a popular car. all ford mustangs site...

Any car around that vintage that is unmolested is worth more than what you would find on average. Just my opinion, but finding something restored is easy compared to something all original. I'd check recent auction sales and go from there.

This one sold at mecum auctions in october 2011...for 23 g's

im not a mustang guy, so not sure if this one is special or not.

maybe a Marti (ford's GG) report might help to boost the price too.

Real world selling price on a 72 green auto is around 15K IMO. I have a buddy that sold an absolute perfect 73 4spd for 20K at the height of the market. The big auctions may be able to pull more out of it. Being such a nice survivor etc. if you can get it out there for the Ford guys to see it may bring around 20K
