Mine is Something Wicked This Way Comes.

Not exactly Halloween but it has that creepy fall vibe.

I used to be a big horror fan.
The last thing I got into was Hellraiser.
It's pretty involved.
About that time, my cousin turned me on to-

Evil Dead II

...and that ruined the entire genre for me.

Now I find horror silly.

...but not as silly as Evil Dead.

I can watch EDII every time I find it on.

...but I can't take anything else seriously.

Runners up-

"Phantasm"
The "Alien" franchise- the first one was every bit a horror film, just in space, with pretty good sci-fi as well.
The Simpsons "Treehouse of Horror" series.

I am a fan of the 71 Demon "Halloween" black and orange interior option-

Never been a fan. Not interested in the "intense" feeling an actual scare focused well written movie can do, and I despise the gore fest type.

I will say though, I have seen at least parts of most of the big name movies. A couple stand out-

Alien, as mentioned above because of the thought and design behind the actual alien. Actual horse skull and how they came up with the design is why it resonates as something so "possible". Top notch movie making.
Poltergeist because I saw it when I was a kid and it was scary enough to stick with me.

The Exorsist. Mostly because I am Christian, and have heard and seen enough things in my life that this movie is not something I can dismiss as 100% off the wall fantasy/horror. And THAT makes this movie scary AF to me. Haven't seen it in a long time now, probably won't ever watch it again. But I can recognize the quality of the film.

I never saw any of the Saw movies but Hostel made me never watch the torture stuff again. I saw the original Halloween at the theater. We were late because my brother and I smoked before going. We had to sit in the front row. There were plenty of black folks at the theater and the women liked to scream advice at the screen, like "Don't go in there!" etc.
