I have a 69 Runner that currently rides on 14" Ralleys with 225 tires on it. Looks ok... but I'm looking for a change up next year. I want to run painted Steel wheels and Dog Dish Hub caps. I'm going to go with 15x8 up front with 235's and I'd like to run 15x10 on the rear with 265 or 275. Do I have enough room to mount the 10" wheels with the skins I want? I'd rather plan ahead then spend the coin and it not work.... where better ask then here ??

you should be ok because im running 18x10s in the rear on my 69 gtx with a 5inch back space and they clear just fine.

I'm running 275/60/15s. 10 inches wide. Clears no problem. Let me know if you want to see a pic. I can snap one for you tomorrow.

They are drag radials. Pricey but worth it when you're pushing over 500hp. I can tell you from experience though that they are dangerous on wet pavement.

a pic would be greatly appreciated...

I'm going to mount TA radials all black... and I dont plan on taking it out in the rain.... Love to see your car...

Thanks again

Here you go. They are American Racing wheels. Mounted with plain radials for the winter. They are also 275/60/15s - 10" wide.

you may want to go 7-inch in the front instead of 8-inch. With 235's the 8 inch might make too much tire bulge and you gotta also be sure there's no front suspension interference with full turn lock to lock. The 10's in the rear should be fine though. You could even go 9's with 275/60's. I'm running those rear tires on 8-inch wheels.

back spacing is the key to making those fit.both front and rear.make sure to get some measurements to make sure the 15x8s wont rub on the inside edge while into a full turn.looks like am3rican can provide back space on the rear.
