I purchased this M&H wheel today. (During this time I'll also install SS leaf springs.)

I've searched and searched here but can't find what I'm looking for.

I want a steel smoothie in a 15"x8". My best guess is that a 4.5" backspace is the proper set-up, but I can't find a steel smoothie in that size.

Is that the right size rim to fit? If so does anyone know where I could get one?

5th ave wheels are 15x7, cheap and accept mopar dog dish caps.

Check Wheel Vintiques. There is different size steelies. Mine are from Summit...

Vintiques only has 4" backspacing and Summit only sells chromed or painted wheels with a chrome lip.

Wheel Vintiques does sell a 4.5" backspace wheel in the Mopar OE 63 wheel. Also check Specialty Wheel http://www.specialtywheel.com/wheel-showcase/mopar.html.

With a 11.7" wide tire I don't know if you will fit even with a 4.5 BS. My 64 Dodge definitely wouldn't. Maybe with a 5.5 backspace, but I personally never measured for as wide of a tire as you are going to run.

The size wheel and tire that fits will vary a little depending on your car's actual ride height. I'd suggest actually measuring for the available room you have and order up some rims based on that.

I'm looking for a smoothie like this...

I'm currently running a 295 that has a sectional with of over 12". So I'm thinking the 11.7" tire should fit just fine.

From what I could tell this is the rim I currently have on the car (I can't be too sure b/c they came with the car). BS of 4.25", which centers the 295 perfectly.
