I posted a question earlier about lug nuts for my 1973 RR...anyway ordered some that did not fit because I am believing now that the wheels I have for my car are not really Roadrunner wheels...my husband took off a tire and we checked the back of the rim and it said W R Grace & Co 1976...it said 15x8.5...I have turbine wheels and I think these lug nuts are called conical?...I want to replace them with newer ones that are not so shabby looking...what size lug nut would I need and a good source to buy them...Marla

Hi marlaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....you need 1/2" x 20. ANY AUTO ZONE OR THE LIKE SHOULD HAVE THEM

1/2 inch 20 are the ones for sure. Conical refers to the part of the lug nut that contacts the rim (as i'm sure you know) because its cone shaped rather than flat. That pic sure looks like its some crazy big lug but i guess its just a shadow?

Btw 1/2 inch refers to the diameter of the threaded stud, 20 means 20 threads per inch. Bring the lug nut to autozone and they should have soepme studs you can thread it onto to be sure... Or ask someone just to be sure.

I already bought 20 1/2 inch lug nuts...they were in diameter too small to thread on the bolt...isn't it 3/4 inch that I need?...Marla

Marla, Those lug nuts in your pic appear to be
, like you say 3/4 in id . I'm thinking that they are a cap for a part of the nut or stud that is left on the wheel. Post up a pic of the wheel and spot it came from. Might help.

the pic you are showing is either a cap or your lug broke,as said above, need a pick of wheel where that came from.i have seen some old design wheels take a stud expantion piece with cover to make a unilug design.i think that is what you have, but need close pics of wheel with at least one lug removed.
