Wheel & Tire combo suggestions for high speed Open Road racing?

I've been looking at different wheel sizes and tire availabilities with the appropriate speed ratings to pass tech inspection for higher speeds for Open Road racing.
The tire options are slim with the 15 in wheels and there are many choices until you get to 18 in and bigger. I have a 70 Road Runner and I'm not sure if 18 in tires (or bigger) would look out of place as I would like to keep the NASCAR stock car look.
Anyone have any suggestions/ideas?

Those are 18" wheels with tires that really grip.
18 x 9" front, 4 1/2" back space. 275-40-18 Nitto NT 01 tire, 200 treadwear.
18 x 10" rear, 4 1/2" back space. 295-35-18 Nitto NT 01 tire, 200 treadwear.
