I have been trying without much luck, to find a set of stock steel 15" wheels from an early 80's or earlier, 1/2 ton Dodge pickup or van. They are supposed to have the centers that will accept stock early B 10" poverty hubcaps. Early 14" wheels are easily found. Is it possible to have the 14" centers mated to 15" hoops?

I tried that too. I couldn't find hoops that would fit my 14" centers and didn't have any luck having places local that would fab them up.

I ended up ordering later model Wheel Vintique steelies through Summit racing and epoxying later model hubcaps inside my early hubcaps.

PC-7 Epoxy (sold through Tru-Value hardware) will practically weld the two together and once on the wheel no one will be the wiser!

I found some 15" x 7 wheels at a local swap meet, for $30 each, I used to run the 15 x 7 cop wheels on the rear. I was always looking for the 80's ramcharger wheels, 15 x 8, I was told they work, I thought that Stockton Wheel had mopar style steel repops. I have the 70's-80's style dog dishs.

To get a 15" truck wheel that will have the right size ring to use that hub cap, you will have to find someting mid sixties or earlier. They are pretty hard to find and will probably only be 5 or 5-1/2 inches wide. The "Ramcharger" wheels use the smaller hub cap ring that fits the caps from 68 up.

I ended up having wheels built by Speciality Wheel. Outstanding job. I like the new nostalgic look, but I kept the tires on the prostars just so I can change if the mood hits me.

These are from Rallye America;Wheel Vintiques and I think Stockton offer the same style. Not a "true" Mopar wheel design, but killer-looking just the same. Not sure if your caps would fit. I'm presuming that you're interested in a painted wheel, not chrome,so you may want to check into getting un-plated wheels from one of these companies.

I have 8 of the 15" steel wheels from the a100 vans and trucks (none are for sale, sorry). They are VERY hard to find. Right now they are going for around $125-$150 each, if the seller knows what he has. Hopefully the prices will come down. These same wheels also came on some Studebaker's... You have to know what you are looking for. There are 2 types of wheels that will work for what we are wanting to do. The first have 5 seperate "pin holes" between the lugnut holes on the rim (I think these were the ones that came original on the Hemi and Max Wedge cars). The other has a single "pin hole" between 2 of the lugnut holes. I have cut the centers out, bought some drums (blanks) from Speedway Motors (NE), and found an Ag Wheel company in Wichita that will weld the centers in to whatever backspacing I want. Here are a few pics of what I'm talking about. I did buy 4 from Wildcat Salvage in Oregon.

You might want to check with the guy at Classic Chambered (www.classicchambered.com). He can generally find any Mopar wheel - but they will be pricey - think $150-$175 range each. On the plus side, all the wheels I've got from them have been in very good condition. But it's still a lot of $$$.

Yep, unless originals are needed, it sure is a lot cheaper to have them custom built.

15 5.5 wheel

I have been following this thread, and will say that I do have 4 of the 15 x 5.5 wheels. Stock 1960's accepting the 10" button. I typically blast and paint black as per example below. Seems like everyone gets fixated on some exact size that really doesnt accomplish a big deal, ie: 5.5 vs 6", or is willing to make custom wheels and spend a great deal of money, vs getting what is out there if you are just willing to pay a reasonable price for stock.

I would sell my set, and can take a full set of photos. If you are more than a 'tire kicker', PM me with your email.

Know full well shipping is 80-100 for the set.

i've got 5 of those also with tires mounted. i'd like to put the centers in wider rims but the cost of that is a non-starter. the problem with selling them is, once they're gone there's no replacing them. i had a pair of 15x8's made, that will use the 9 3/4" cap, for my 65 coronet and don't use them anymore.
