Is this part of the window mechanism? My passenger door window does "rock" back and forth in it's track.

That piece is actually part of an assembly for the forward most roller track for the quarter window. The ball sits in a pot metal piece that also has two smaller rollers that ride on the long track.
 
No that is incorrect information. That piece you are referring to does not have a serviceable roller held on by a clip. The piece the OP shows the pic of is for the rear track position of the 1/4 window as i stated and showed the pic of in my previous post on this thread. It should have 2 rollers on it and one is missing. One roller goes in the rear vertical short piece of track and the other one goes into the horizontal slot at the back corner of the large white metal bracket that bolts to the 1/4 glass

My mistake, I just rechecked my pics and the piece I was thinking it was isn't held on my the circular clip it is pressed in. Sorry about that.
