Which alternator would you buy for a 69 Coronet R/T?

I currently have the stock 1969 single field, round back alternator like the one on the left below. My car has all new wiring, including the under hood harness which has only one field wire.

I plan to install the Mopar electronic distributor kit, including the orange box. Do I need to change to a 1970 and up two field alternator? If so, can you give me a part number for the alternator and a link to a "How To" article?

Roger,i replaced my engine harness with the 70 up dual field hook up and a square back 60 amp alt.along with the electronic vr.no problems at all.i just picked up the alt at napa.along with the ammeter bypass I feel like my elect system is working better than ever

Hey, I just sent you a PM about the same thing. What a coincidence. I saw a Mopar Muscle article about doing the mod but I think they used the existing wiring and just added the 2nd field wire somehow. I don't quite understand much when it comes to the wiring.
