which bearings Dana Power lok #2881487 into a 489

As far as I know dana internals dont cross over to a 489. 8.75 housing.

He's talking about the Dana Powerlock carrier FOR the 8 3/4. That's what ALL the clutch type units were. All 741 bearings are the same. All 742 bearings are the same and all 489 bearings are the same, regardless of which carrier is used. The difference is in the bearings outside diameter. The carrier bearing snouts are all the same size.
