Hi,
Which do you think is a better buy.
The blue '78 fury sport has 9,500 miles and cost 10,500.
The white '78 fury sport has 87,000 miles and cost 5,000 dollars.
The blue fury sport has no rust and was garaged all it's life.
The white fury sport is speckled with rust and runs a little rough.

BLUE is the better car by a wide margin! Better buy, blue also. That green and plaid interior, bleah!

If you really need a 78 Fury Sport offer the man with the blue one 8K... It's the best offer he's likely to get..
 
The blue one. If you see a little rust on the outside, you can bet there's a lot on the inside.
 
the white one is a pile,rust is a cancer and if you can see it coming out like that then...
maybe a 1500 car tops.

the blue one is outstanding,and that interior is different.
10,500 is a bit much But..if thats a true 9500 mile car...then,like wild says.
start at 8k and see where you land.
 
That blue one looks nice. The difference in price probably buys you not only piece of mind but fewer rattles and an overall more solid feel.
If this is your favorite type of car, grab the best example you can afford. How oppressive are the emission testing laws in Wisconsin? These cars are heavy and those engines were choked down with single exhaust systems, catalytic converters, lower compression and closed element air cleaners.
A 5.7 swap would sure wake the car up!
 
Definitely BLUE. Think of the amount of money you'll have to throw at the white one to get where the blue one is. You're at a much better starting (or ending) point with old Blue.
 
If you real like that model, definitely go Blue.. start at 7,000 and go up about 10% from there and stop... low mileage is great, but their not going to be knocking down his door to buy it.. if he's at 10500 looking for 10k, ain't gonna happen.. do a lot of talking before you make a 7,000 offer, so you soften his 10 grand stance..don't want to piss him off before you sticker shock him ..IMHO 7/8 MAX !!.. and that's because you really like it.
 
for those two cars

I' go with the blue Doba
(I don't know their values very well)
but IMHFO it's a better value,
than the white car at $5k less than 1/2 the price
especially if you can get it for less than $10k
start low $7.5k & work up if need be
($10.5k, IMO that's steep price, to me anyway)

I’d put the blue one at $4,000 and the white one around $800.
They are to old to be considered “reliable” transportation and are not “collectible” cars. The market for these cars is pretty small.

I’m not criticizing your taste in cars, it’s just that I’ve been down this road before.
I wouldn’t mind having the blue one as a daily driver, just not for $10,000.
 
^^^ Typical "Low Ball" buyer that pisses off every decent person selling a car.
Any person that starts off with an offer this stupid instantly gets dismissed from any negotiation.
