Who's spending more or less this Christmas?

Just wondering who is spending more or less this Xmas compared to other years?
With 2 kids in college this year and fuel and energy costs which are strangling us here this year, it seems that we aren't spending as much on our 4 kids this year.
We definitely cut back.
Or its just they don;t need much this year because they are spoiled all year round.

We have always done the Christmas club thing to the tune of around $2000 a year. Now that our two kids are adults we agreed to spend $800 of it and use the rest on a vacation to myrtle Beach in the spring! So we are spending in essence the same but mostly on us. I think this will become a trend till grand kids come...

Actually spent a little more this year than in years past. We generally spend around $2k total each year, but this year I got (early) a $2k tool box for the shop from her, plus there are some under the tree for me too!!! The kids are racking up as is the norm, even though my son moved out this past summer and so we were gonna go light for him. Ended up getting him a bunch of stuff for his new place and a Bluray player and wireless router for his internet. Rotten kids... lmao!

Moved away from hometown this last september but still adds up to around 1k when you add in all the kids and special gifts-and the inlaw's...

Got engaged in Early November- wish me grats (another 1000 bucks)

Pretty much the same this year as always. My wife has a budget set aside and she sticks to it every year. The kids know the budget.
