Back into my hot natured 440, in the 64.

Once I finally have a clean radiator, and keeping temps within reason, decided it was time to clear the air out. Burp. Open the heater valve, to flush out the air. Slight leak...sure am glad I picked up an extra seal, when I fixed Glenwood up!

The valve looks in real good shape, seal is flexible, light traces of rust, one small piece of corrosion at the seal. That's why I didn't tear into the valve.
So, I slipped it out yesterday, and finally figured a perfect tool to bend those dang four curved tangs. Standard offset screwdriver.
Two tangs to go, and I'll get to the old seal.

And, went to my prostate cancer check-up...looks like I have to start all over again.
Have to get another bone scan, probably next week, start up another round of those damn Lupan shots. Maybe other crap. All from my PSA count going up.
If it gets me...it gets me. Hell, gonna die of something, one of these days, anyway.

Good luck with that. Hopefully just benign.

I hate bending those tabs too.

Hoping that somebody would reproduce those valves or a workable replacement for them.

As a person with prostate cancer, whose father and 2 uncles died from it, I’m hoping to have mine removed before my Gleeson number starts going up. Maybe this fall. I hope you get good news, good luck.

Have a doctor I actually trust, so I'm in his hands. Bad thing is, he says mine is the most aggressive type. Good luck to you, too, PRND21!

One of my daughter-in-laws dad died from prostate cancer. Found about it...dead two weeks later.

Hey Miller, that damaged valve I received from a vendor here is still holding tight thanks to the seal you sent me...thanks again for that. Those tabs are tough to work with though. I hope I don't have to mess with that again.
Sorry to hear about your PSA going up and the ensuing treatments. I hope it all works out for you. I'm overdue for a checkup and have to start looking for a doctor with small hands!

After 3 different urologists, I found one that I like and trust. Hard to find a good one, seems like there is a lot of goofy ones out there. Going in for another MRI/biopsy in Sept.
Man, don’t give up, fight it. We’re pulling for you.

Appreciate all that, guys!

I never give up, though, sometimes I don't get my way. LOL. Going in next Monday, for a CT, and bone scan. Deal the doc told me, if the cancer ever gets to my bones...I'm a dead man. Not that easy to kill off, unless I lose my say in it. Two heart attacks, and being realistic, could have another at any time. That's what makes it easy to say the hell with it. It is what it is.

Forecast today 103...will test the 64 for leaks at that valve. Gotta get hold of Joe Suchy, and get a cable...mine froze up.
The old seal, was still good and flexible, but outer edges were ragged.
