width for a dana 60

I got one out of a GMC truck, bought new axle tubes for it, now I know a stock housing end to end is supposed to be 57 3/4 inches. How much smaller can I go with off set shackle kit? I also have some 15x10 with a 5.5 offset coming in, but won't be shipped to me until next month maybe. Ill be planning on running 315 or 325 size drag radial tires if I can , I know a 315 will clear my stock wheel well.
