i'm building a 71 dodge charger and stumbled across a 73 dodge charger floorshift steering column. i was wondering if it would bolt up into my car and work like the one i have now does. all help is appreciated, thanks. jon.
Yes if you get the whole thing, plus the 73 steering box. The 73 has a rag joint in it and the spline in the coupler is bigger on the 73. So the 73 column wont hook up to the 73 steering box. You'll also need to use the pitman arm for the 73 steering box again bigger splines. If you have the 73 stuff or can get it easy its well worth the swap. The 73 is a faster box than 72 back and the rag joint stops vibration the wheel. I've done the swap three times now a 67,70 and 72 B body. Its all bolt in and the wiring to 74 is the same,
