Ok, call me crazy (been called it many times before) but I love the high back bench seat with the arm rest center (see photo below). I now have the low back base model bench seat. I found a decent one from a 1971 Duster A Body. Would this fit my 1971 B Body Charger? Would this be weird? ...not that that really matters, I guess. If not, is a B body version hard to find?
Thanks, Drew~ Fort Worth, Texas

The A body seat will be probably be narrower. This may position the occupants a bit too close to the center of the car but I doubt it. The difference may not be that much. Even though the width of the cars is different, the A body also has shallower doors than the B and E cars. The seats may not be that much different. Certainly the mounting brackets/holes will be different.

I'm pretty sure there almost the same maybe an 1"-2" narrower not much of a difference I had an a body bench laying up with a b body one and they literally were the same in every way no one could tell them apart

Lots of folks pull those seats out and install buckets.

Not too terribly difficult to find.....

That said, I had an upholstery shop install a Duster bench seat cover on my B body bench seat frame.

Didn't take much at all, IIRC the added about an inch at the back, underneath so they could hog ring it.

There was enough material to work with on the front and sides.

You couldn't tell to look at it, other than the pattern not being totally correct.
