Recently picked up a set of 73 A-body front discs to convert my 68 Chargers drums. Came with the entire setup.. lines, master, prop valve, brake booster, etc... Curious before I start getting into this, will the A-body brake booster fit my B-body's manual system given I have all the corresponding parts?

I installed a power brake booster setup from a 73 a-body on a 67 RT coronet and it fit fine. The a-body has a booster bracket that offsets the brake linkage which bolts to the b-body firewall. You must use a non-power brake firewall plate. The a-body linkage has an adjustment in the linkage.

My 70 Charger is set up this way but I'm not real happy with it.
In 2001 I added the 75 Dart booster and MC along with the 11" brakes. The car was vastly better than with the 10" drums at all 4 corners. In 2004 I swapped in 12" rotors. In 2006 I added rear discs. In 2010 I tried to switch to a manual system because the brakes were NOT as good as the stock brakes in my friends 73 Duster. I suspect that the brake pedal ratio is different than a stock B body. The A body cars were lighter so my guess is that they needed LESS leverage to stop. I'm considering a switch to a factory type b body power booster and MC. I hear of guys that LOVE their brakes, even saying that their cars stop faster than their daily driver new cars. Mine isn't unsafe by any means but I know it is far from optimal. The a body parts will fit but will likely be the same as it was with me.
