Wilwood question

I have disc brakes on the front already. They were in the car when I bought and appears to be 30+ years old.
Looking at upgrading to Wilwood. What should I look for? What all do I need? Anything I need to upgrade as well? Any suggestions to a good setup?
Will the disc brake spindles I have work with the Wilwood setups they offer?
 
They offer both a drum and disc spindle kit.

I bought the pro-street kit for drum spindles and was very happy!

I'd go ahead and buy that braided lines from Mancini Racing as it includes all the adapters, clips etc to make it work with the existing brake lines.

I did put a later dual bail, lightweight master cylinder out of pickup application on mine as well and used the AREngineering adapter.

Bent up a couple of lines for the new master cylinder and I was in business!
 
Why do you want to upgrade? If its for stopping power and not just weight savings, in my opinion I wouldn't bother. I went from your setup to wildwood forged dynamite with 11.75" rotors and the AR engineering adapters with good braided lines and wilwood bp-10 pads and high quality fittings with drums in the back and my stopping power is worse.

Don't throw out or sell your originals until you have driven the wilwoods for a bit and are satisfied. Maybe they don't stop as well because it's a 4 piston caliper vs the stock single pistons that also don't flex as much?

My problem is that this disc brake setup must have been installed late 70's early 80's. It appears to be something off of a early 70's disc brake car and without knowing i dont think i can pads. So i want to install something that i'm familiar with. But if you have problems with your Wilwoods then i dont want to spend the 6-$700.

Not all have had problems with wilwoods, but I am not the first one to say that the stock disc is as good or better. The early 70's e-body front disc upgrade has been recommended by many and I only found out after I removed mine. There are several threads on here referring to this. Look at the AR engineering website. They have a great write up on it. I am thinking You already have a good setup there.

The big difference is in weight savings.

The Wilwood hub and caliper are both aluminum.
 
Go with what u got. Spend the money on some new tires to fry. I wish i had a set like that for my c-net.
