I'm ready to install the cat whiskers on the doors of the Coronet. The glass is still in.

-- Is it best to do the inner first... or the outer?
-- Is there a good thread or video tutorial out there?
--What should I look out for?

on mine i did the inner first. make sure that all the clips are lined up and start all of them first then push in place at the same time a little at a time as not to bend them. good luck.

Take the glass stop off so that the glass can go below the felts and then it's easy pezzy..

Yep, remove the inner door panel and look for the huge rubber stop in the bottom.

Be careful, though as I pulled most of the tab off mine trying to put it back in.

Thanks for the incite Wayne; I appreciate it. But where is the stop? I can't seem to figure out what is stopping the window's down motion.

Oi! I was hoping that wasn't the stop. Looks like the center pin will push through, and then the plug should come out pretty easily? (someone out there is laughing at the "easily" part).

Make a check on how they 'fit' before inserting, some aftermarkets don't fit exactly right then end up with the liner never fully seating evenly...see #2 post.

I might be getting my wires crossed. You mean this?....

No.. I was just showing that's the only one that I think should have a pin in it... the stop is a screw. Remove the screw and the stop easily removes from the glass. Rear lower corner of the glass...

Ok, it must be different on a '68. I don't have that stop pin. Not a biggie - I'm thinking I can just take the three screws out that hold the regulator, and drop the whole assembly a little bit.

Ah, another good hillbilly coat hanger trick.. I like it. My old ones are already out, but it may come in handy for the next time I have to pull a set out.

Thanks for all the help fellas. I may not get to it til tomorrow night, but I'll let you know how it turns out.

Ok, the passenger side felts are in! After putting a few blocks of 2x4 inside the door to keep the glass from hitting the bottom, I pulled the three bolts holding the regulator in. That allowed the glass to slip down far enough to let me put the felts in.
I pushed the glass back up through the felts, and reattached the regulator. For some reason, I had a bit of difficulty getting the final bolt back in the regulator, but it went... and there was much rejoicing!
Thanks again to all for the ideas and pictures!

You're right Vance. On the driver door I did the inner felt first, and the process went MUCH smoother.
