Window guide track front vertical wing window track question.

I need to replace my window glass channel material. How do you replace the track material that goes in the front wing window track ? can it be done in the door...or do you have to remove the vent window ????

From memory….you take the top corner rubber “tip” off the vent window and the inner/outer cat whiskers off the door. Detach the glass and slide it up/out. You can do it without removing the vent frame. BE CAREFUL…the slides that you’re replacing are very delicate until they’re fully installed (break easily)

I also seem to remember that once you remove that little “rubber tip” you need to loosen a couple vent widow frame screws too & you might need an impact driver (I did)

You have to pull the interior door pulls, cranks and door card anyhow to do the job. Just pull the entire glass assembly out and put it on the bench, it'll save you a LOT of grief. You need to adjust the lower stop down, so you can get the cat whiskers off. Can't pull the glass out of the door with them in place if the regulator track is attached to the lower edge of the glass.
