Wing Mirror Help/Advice Needed

I have recently bought a 73 Satellite and it is being imported from america, I am uk based and want to get a pair of matching wing mirrors as it only has the drivers side one. Please could someone recommend where I could get a pair or does anyone have a pair they are selling? I've found a lot for sale in america but would prefer to buy in the uk to avoid paying for import if possible.

Also do they have to be specific to the car or are there certain makes and years of car that would have interchangeable wing mirrors with mine?

Welcome from AZ...

The passenger side mirror was usually an option, so not all cars got one. If you know anyone in the US that could look for one in a junk yard would help, or a member here has one to part with maybe. They are not usually a remote operated mirror, but it would just attach with two studs/nuts from inside of the door. It isn't hard to do really, and either some one here can measure a door to provide a drill template, or you could loosen and measure your driver door and match. You will need the: mirror, plastic base gasket, and two nuts to complete the job.

If you follow this link, it still works for free service manuals. You will download the '72 Ply manual as it is the closest.

I have some extra mirrors but I think they're '66/'67. A photo of what you have may help. If I have a match you're welcome to it.

Hope this helps you. Somewhere on this forum is a thread regarding installing the passenger side mirror and I am pretty sure my Charger is the same. These pictures may help show the mounting position on the door.

I am new here and not sure how to find or link to that thread so maybe others can help.
