Well the flurries that fell this weekend finally drove the nail in the coffin for the season for me and the car is down for the season. It's a sad time but it can also be productive. I have a few projects slated for the down time:
1. Take apart top carb/intake manifold to clean and repaint. I want to replace all the gaskets and vacuum lines. Ever since I changed the carb this summer there has a been a slight high pitched hiss sound I couldn't seem to locate. It didn't seem to effect performance/drivablity, but I want to track it down and fix it.
2. Change out my 2.94 gear in my 8 3/4 rear end with the 3.91 I have ready to pop in. I'm gonna take this opportunity to swap out the axles as well with a set from Doctor Diff with fresh bearings.
3. Remove the interior trim and give everything a good polish. They're in great shape, but need a little TLC to make them pop.
4. Install a bluetooth amp behind the glove box and replace the all the speakers. I'm gonna leave the factory AM radio in place and go for a stealthy install.
5. Replace the lug studs on the front passenger side as I broke one late in the season and they'll be the only original ones left at this point. Better safe than sorry.
6. Pull the gauge cluster and replace the lights. I have one out all the way on the left and they're all pretty dim anyway.
7. Install my Bosch retro tach and engine temp gauges.
How about you guys, what's on the agenda for everyone else? I'm not doing anything too crazy but I like to have a punch list to keep things moving forward.
