Hi guys,

We could do with finding a replacement for one of the wiper arms (not the blade but the part that attaches to the splined posts) on our 69 Sport Satellite, as the spring clip that holds it onto the post, has lost its springiness!

It looks like the spot weld or whatever holds the little spring clip on, is coming loose, so the clip hasnt got enough tension to keep it located under the splined area on the post.

Dunno if that description makes much sense :eusa_eh: but the bottom line is:

does anyone here know if anyone's making repros of these?

Year One have already said they aren't making them yet but gave us a phone number of a used parts dealer (ie junkyard) where we might be able to get one.

But first I'd like to know whether anyone knows of any repros out there?

Here's the clip I referred to above.

Alternatively - if anyone knows a fix to cure the floppy clip... :icon_biggrin:

Thanks

Anco still makes em! Google it. I just bought a pair recently online. They're adjustable length and pop right on. Like $30 for the pair if i recall.

Thanks for the replies Bigman & HT :icon_salut:

There's quite a few similar arms up for grabs on ebay but none are quite the same as our one. I'll see if we can get the same one before I start looking at alternatives.

HT413 - Can you get me a link to the ANCO arms you got? All I can find on their site are wiper blades and some later style arms but no specific info on part nos or what models they are supposed to fit :tard:

Thanks!

I saw an exact set of anco ones on ebay, double check, like I said I have an old set laying around if you really need them

Thanks again guys. Yes I saw a couple of sets on ebay that looked the same. One was off a 66 Barracuda and it looked identical - even tho Year One told us that A-body wiper arms were different :icon_scratch:

Before ordering anything tho, my brother had a go at redoing the 'peened' fiixing by whacking a bolt head down onto the old fixing and it seems to have done the job. The little spring clip is a lot tighter and should be able to hold it on the post now :icon_thumleft:

Thanks for all the help with this guys, even tho we've hopefully avoided the need to get a replacement. :eusa_dance:

All set for the British winter now... :icon_pale:
