I'm doing a lot of work to my '69 Super Bee. One aspect of the current project is to convert the two-speed wiper system to a three-speed system.
I bought three-speed parts for the conversion from Jules the Wiper Man. He was highly recommended. Also looks like the work he did is excellent.
My old two-speed wiper switch's terminals on the back look different than the ones on the three-speed switch. There is one additional terminal on the three-speed switch and two of the terminals on it are in different places than ones on my old two-speed switch. This new three speed switch plugs into the existing under-dash connector, but I believe two of the switch's terminals aren't connected to anything.
Do I need a different under-dash connector to make things right? Will the three-speed switch work OK as-is?
I hooked up the battery to run the wiper system and noticed when I turned off the three-speed switch, the wipers wouldn't come to a rest at the bottom of the windshield. Instead, they would stop in place, on the glass. It's been a couple of years since I've used the wipers on this car. Is this how the system is supposed to work, or should they come to a resting position at the bottom of the windshield?
Thanks,
