Hello Again….

The wiper motor on the 73 RR stopped working. Is there a fuse? I’ve searched the site & googled too. But can’t find a definitive answer. Which fuse controls the wiper motor? I’ve read about a “circuit breaker” in the switch?

Any leads appreciated.

There is no fuse. The circuit breaker is a part of the switch. It's best to download the manual and troubleshoot it with a voltmeter. Looks like the 71 might be the closest book online. A 73 one shouldn't be hard to find. On the other hand, the wiper wiring might be the same.

Unless I'm missing something, don't think the "BODY" manual for a '71 is going to help much.

Hey, at least you are trying to help...

I looked in my '74 manual and sure enough don't see a fuse in that circuit.

If a 1973 Plymouth Chassis print or electronic service manual is not at hand, mymopar.com has the
1973 Dodge Chassis Service Manual which can serve for information.

Thank you for the confirmation. Motor testing and switch testing is next steps.

Motor was operating while linkage was apart. Had been for last 15+ years that car sat in storage. Brother in law (prior owner) left linkage parts laying in cowl.

Once reassembled nada. No go with motor. So was just starting simple to diagnose.

Will test motor & switch. How/ can is the breaker be reset?

Breaker is self resetting, like the headlamp switch breaker.

Yes, I grabbed the wrong link. Although my 72 Dodge body manual is the book to go to for some lighting and power window wiring if you need that. Either way, self-resetting (thermal Klixon type ) circuit breaker.
