Wiring my tach

Well I'm 99% confident I cant do this but was hoping someone has a solution
I have a cable drive vertex magneto and I'm trying to use a non cable drive tach .
Any ideas

I'm sure somebody here must have done it, back in the old days, but i have no clue. Does anybody still sell new magnetos? They would be the ones to ask.

Don Zig sells and services vertex mags, and has an external coil modification. Maybe get a tach signal from there?

Ya there is a sensor that screws right on the cable port, what luck I did not want to drill a hole in the firewall
