Hello all....

Not sure if this is the correct forum. Trying to get a suggestion for what it's worth. Looking at 1969 RR. No fender tag. VIN and core support match. Came out of the factory with a 383 4bbl. (according to the VIN). Now has a 1969 440 4bbl. 4 speed with hurst pistol grip shifter. 833 tranny and 3.55 gears. Still has the original airgrabber hood...but the box is missing. Hood pins were added. Restored 9 years ago, including quarters from a donor car. Trunk was replaced also. Floors never replaced. Still has drum brakes.

I went and looked at it and rear frame rails and floors were solid. In the picture you'll see a hole in the drivers side quarter that was drilled out above the marker. Apparently someone was going to put the emergency shut off switch there....then it was appropriately moved to the rear bumper where it belongs. So, they just stuck a black plug in it.

I only have one picture ( I hope it attaches to the post) I hope to pick it up this weekend if the price is right.

Let me know, thanks.

A lot of things going on with this car that would probably give a purist convulsions.

If the motor and drivetrain is stong, I would guess in the 10-13k range based on your description But I could see it going for as high as 15-18k. But that's just me. But depends on what you want to do with it. If you have any aspirations of restoring it to original glory you are gonna spend twice as much if not more than what you paid for the car to get there (minus a matching numbers drivetrain) and at the end of the day you will have a vanilla 383 4bbl RR that is missing a fender tag and you didn't mention if there was a broadcast sheet.

If you like the way it drives and intend to use it as is and not get consumed with it being 100% correct then rock on. I am sure others will chime in as well.

But ultimately, its worth what you are willing to pay for it.

Sorry about that...no broadcast sheet either. Engine and drivetrain are fairly strong. We took about a 3-4 mile trip down the road. Car drives/handles nicely. Some pulling to the left when applying brakes. Manual stearing and power brakes. No A/C

Intentions are to have a nice driver without losing money in the future. No intentions of restoring it back to original. (Actually, not sure if that's possible without the tag or BS) Maybe a repaint in the future. Obviously, no one knows what the future holds for the market on these cars. But, I don't want to get in a situation where I buy high and sell low. Certainly not looking to make money either....just don't want to lose.

Thanks for the reply!
