Yesterday while driving to a car show I saw a Mopar with a For Sale sign sitting in a driveway. It was a 1969 Plymouth GTX hardtop with 70,000 miles on the clock, a 440 auto trans car, all numbers (supposedly) matching. Yellow in color and mostly apart. I had all new AMD floors, quarter panels and front inner/outer fenders which were already welded in. The only thing missing (supposedly) was the windshield. The owner said he pushed it outside to clean out the garage and decided to put a For Sale sign on it for one day only. He wanted $14,000 for it. Since I stopped to see it he may be willing to sell it to me if I tell him I'm the guy who stopped and checked it out on Saturday.

I see there are several finished 1969 GTX's for sale for about $38,000 or so, so I'm thinking $14,000 may be a bit high. What do you experts think?

I'd say that you average nicely restored 69 X will pull near 30K. So work you way backwards from that area. What does it need and what will fixing these issues cost?

without any pics, without a parts list , without knowing any details like fender tag / broadcast sheet or knowing what condition any of the parts are in , sounds like a rip-off or a bargain

I don't like these kind of questions really, because it's so subjective, especially with out all the information & photos, but so many of these are always on FBBO... I-M-H-O "It very well could be worth $14k easily", it depends on allot of factors, for assessing pricing, what does it come with ??, what options ??, is the interior in good shape ??, even what colors it was originally ??, or even what state it's in ??, will/can also determine pricing changes/differences, we really need detailed photos, VIN #'s, Fender tag info, etc., from anyone who chooses to post these type of questions, to give an accurate assessment of W-I-W....

i couldnt have said it any better. there are a thousand variables that determine any car value. no two cars are the same.......no two buyers desires or checkbooks are the same.....no two sellers are the same.......
with virtually nothing to go on , it isnt worth squat. and its not just here, its at every site i frequent.
