I looked at this 71 X last week and decided it was too far gone for me to pursue. (No, it's not THAT bad, just worse than I personally want to tackle). Has fender tag and B/C sheet, but original motor is gone, has a 383 now that does not run. It does have those fancy, rare rocker moldings! See pics at this link and give opinions on value. Price was lowered a little yesterday. Thanks!

I hate to see 'em in that shape. Almost a candidate...

I would guesstimate ~$4500. Triple green is a bummer, as is the wasted trunk floor and wierd big holes in the driver's quarter. Carolina humidity always kills these cars.

As a reference, a '71 GTX just sold on Ebay that had a perfect, rust free body. It was disassembled, and not matching #s. But the core bodywork had been completed. It was Bahama yellow car. Sold for $7000 But It Now after being on Ebay several times.

Damn, man. You have some odd rust patterns down in the Carolina's.

I know it's a GTX, but that needs $4,000 in sheetmetal work just to get a working body.

i say 2750-3k is fair for the green monster
the radiator and rocker mouldings alone are close to 2k right there
