I sold my 71 GTX awhile back and had the warranty 440 sitting on the stand. Guy was not interested at all in it (just wanted the running car). Its an unstamped serial number 72 casting 440 with top pad marked 4-3-2 (which I think is date was assembled) and 440 with an HP in lower bottom right of pad. Has no date letter. Block is standard bore engine complete minus intake and exhaust manifolds (were on other engine in sold car). Engine is drilled for manual trans and has pilot bushing in too. Not sure what these are going for now and what to ask if selling. In good shape but last owner pulled heads to inspect cylinders cause it sat and didnt bolt back on. Bores are clean and show almost no wear at all. Was going to regasket and run in another car but is just sitting around still. Thanks.

Hello Rolling Thunder. I believe I have your old 71 GTX.

I would really like to speak with you about this engine if possible. Could you please or text call Randy at [NO PHONE NUMBERS IN POSTS] or send me a message? Merry Christmas to you.

A good 440 is where you find it. Basically, who cares about some stamps if they are building a hot rod, which I think most people are. This sounds like a premium engine that needs a good home. My guess $500.00 - $800.00 depending on how complete it is.

Let's see it Mocar. Head over to the welcome wagon and introduce yourself and your car
