I contacted my broker today, who I go through for my car insurance. They switched me to motorists car insurance two months ago. They said they no longer deal with the company I was with forever. Okay, I wasnt happy. But I went with it.
I called today and told them to get me a quote with American Collectors on my 65 Belvedere, and they called back and told me no, pretty much.
They said since I only have one other car, with two drivers, they cant do it. I work from home!! My wife uses our daily driver for work.
Okay, I told my broker to just put it on my regular policy aith my daily driver and give me liability. Better than nothing. I was told no! Motorists Insurance Group doesnt insure older cars, even with just liability? Well they sure take my money every month for my new Jeep. Unreal.
I called Haggerty late in the day. Waiting on an agent to get back to me on Tuesday. This is nuts!

I priced Haggerty & Grundy. At my agents suggestion, we called Safeco who have our other cars. They beat both of them , and I can pay it monthly along with the other cars. Agreed value coverage for $17 a month.

Thank you, I will look them up. I will switch all of my insurance policies now. I am pissed. I never heard of a car insurance company telling you no to one of your cars. Even just plain liability. I do have an extremely clean driving record.

What kind of car do you have with safeco for that price? Must be liability only. I guess if you have agreed value you have full coverage. How much is your baby insured for - if you don't mind me asking?

Call your local Farm Bureau. I went from State Farm to Texas Farm and my insurance went down 50%. No joke. $40 a year membership fee but that gets covered with the first month of savings.

I never heard of a local farm bereau? Sorry, I know I am being stupid.

we have 3 cars on our Farmers insurance. added a 74 charger to the list just today. liability coverage added 28.00 a month

Is this farmers insurance natiowide? I still cannot believe that my current company told me no to even liability. I am confused.

I have never had insurances... sometimes I will register.... Or rip a sticker off something... Fu¢k the government and there rules...

here In Colorado, we have to show proof of insurance to get current registration and plates. so, at the very least, I have to get insurance for one month so I can get an insurance card to take with me, along with the title , to register and plate the car. the flip side of it all is we have no emissions or inspections what-so-ever. I hate rules too, but the last thing I need is a cop behind me , running my bullshit fake sticker , and then impounding my car. then I will have to get plates and insurance to get it out...... counterproductive, and I will have a court date for falsifying plates

Grundy did that to me years ago, I'd stay away from that phony.

OK, so if you total my six pack and put me in the hospital for the tune of, oh, $50k medical bills you don't care?

1972 Roadrunner, 400-4speed. Agreed value 20k. It is full coverage, limited use of 5000 miles per year. No problem , because I have classic plates on it. They limit miles also.

Farmers and Farm Bureau are different.
Here's the link. Usually better to call then to get an online quote.

Thank you! I will call them first thing Monday morning. I am extremely pissed still! I cannot understand why my insurance company will cover my new Jeep, but will NOT even give me liability on my older car. I just don't get it. I have NEVER had this happen in my life.

Hagerty is the Shizzzit.

I did call and get a quote today from them. It was 130 a year for 6000.
I am wondering if I made the insurance too high for a 65 4 door?
I dunno, I just guessed.
She said a under writer will call me by Tuesday, and let me know if they will take me on, or something. I dunno. If they even have to lower the value, hopefully they will just tell me that, and then give me a policy. I gave them my CC number and everything.

My wife was rear ended by a uninsured jackhole going 60mph. Took 18 month of BS to start to get reimbursed for our totaled car let alone her being screwed up for life. I'd just assume shoot the next jackhole in the knee caps.

I seen something on my insurance policy where I pay extra for uninsured motorists? WTF???
I always carry insurance. But the knee caps? Cmon!! A 45 round to the head. Just get it overwith!...:icon_madu:

Trust me, the first uninsured asshole that causes me any issues, will pay back 10x what he cost me if not more. I'll stop here. Assume what you will.
