Wanting a factory steel power bulge hood to replace the one was cut up by the last owner. I don't anyone at this time that are making steel repo at this time.

I know they make a fiberglass one, but I was told that fiberglass hoods take tons of work to make them flat.

Hey dude, How many times you been to Iraq? I went for OIF2 and Desert Storm. BUSA!! Blasphemy! The 14 is a super bike! Humm, the hood angle, well, I have a very clean, no rust 68 Satellite hood that I 'have' and have no use for, I was going to use it for something, but, may just get a new AMD hood. So...if you want/need/can use it, name your price, then hang onto your shorts b/c shipping will be a beeeeotch!

Getting ready for trip No. 3. starting in January. MY other two trip were OIF 1and OIF 4. I was also in Desert Storm and Bosnia in 98 to 99. Just went past my 27th year in the Army. Girlfriend not too thrilled about me leaving again, but duty calls.

Unfortunately the Satalite hood is different then the Coronet's. I got luck yesterday and finally found an orginal trunk lid from a supebee at a local Salvage. (talk about a hard to find item) Thanks for the offer anyways.
Maybe someday if I'm down in that area or, your in my neck of the woods, we can get together.

Dude, 27 yrs? Wow, I had a hard time making it to 21, if they threw E8 at me, I would have stayed. But, my career ended with a bang; depending on whom you ask you will get two different opinions. I too was in Bosnia; 98-99 at Camp Dobol. I know the Satellite hood is different, but, you can always cut 'em up and splice 'em back together...like what I'm doing.

Wow, good score on the deck lid! Those lids are far better at staying intact vs. the same year Plymouth lids, the Plymouth is L shaped, and water collects in the lower sections always rusting it from the inside out, especially when the tail panel has drilled holes for the trim, and or GTX emblems.

For sure on the hang out part. If you ever get TDY to Ft. Sam Houston be sure to look me up, I was PSG at Warrior Transition Unit before I got out. Oh yeah, if you come to Ft. Sam other than TDY, hope you are not too banged up, this is where all the wounded soldiers come. Let's hope that's not the reason/circumstances we meet. But, this is how the system works. Are you a SGM/CSM or LTC or?

This is too freaky. I was at Camp Dobol the sametime. (Aug 98 to March 99) Were you with the 1 Cav, 2/5. I was with the Civil Affair and Psyops team that went out to Zvornik, Bratunac, and Srebrnian everyday to check on projects and the Dislocated Civilian camps.

LTC Brown was a pretty good task force commander.(and basketball player) I remember having to down to the RS and set up games between the Soldiers and the Serbs.

You can use either a 68 or a 69 hood. They are the same except the 69 hood has a "lip" piece screwed on under the front. Remove that, and instant 68 hood!

Holy Crap Batman! I was in 2-5 Cav; the unit filled with criminals! I went to Zvornik, Srebrenica etc often too. Usually with D co CO, the cocky arrogant dude that will likely be the Chief of Staff someday -- his translators were the hottest! I worked in the S2 shop, we may even have met and done the de-briefing thing many times!

Here I am with some Russian soldiers, we met on that trail near the dam in Zvornik. Wow, too cool! Small world!

Hey thanks for the tip. If anyone see's one up for sale somewhere, drop me a line.

No prob. It's a piece that was added to fill the "drop" in the middle of the 69 grill
