Would consider a complete unit or just the housing. Do I understand correctly the 71-74 is different than the earlier ones for the b body?

I am answering the posters enquiry

Yup 71 to 74 are wider (requiring longer axles)

Also

73 and 74 have large centering holes in the spring perches for the ISO rubber bushed spring contraptions. lol

Someone had a post a month or so ago with housing sizes in it. I think it was a '71/'72 C body housing that is the same size as newer B bodies. This caught my eye cause I thought the housing I put in my '77 Cordoba was out of a B body but I guess I was wrong. All that aside if you can find that thread or a list of housing sizes that will be the best help I can give you. Mine want in a Cordoba and it looked like the spring pads were moved but it was the right length for my car.

It's a sticky in the driveline section.

it has been a long time but I used a 9 1/4 rear end from full size cop car about 77 78 but that was 30 some years ago and did not write it down so memory is not what it use to be

73 is what I need. 3.55 sure grip. Don't matter which case or posi unit. Or just the housing is fine also.
