Yankees suck!

Your title reminds me of the question; What is a Yankee? If you live in Europe a Yankee is anyone from the USA. If you live in the deep south of the USA a Yankee is anyone who lives north of the Mason Dixon line. If you live north of the Mason Dixon line a Yankee is anyone who lives in New York. If you live in New York a Yankee is anyone who is a fan of the New York Yankees.

Yankees suck ??Hmm.....From a Mass. guy I can believe...small story...

I'm retired military...lots of years...and My Wife and I were travelingthrough the eastern seaboard and stopped at a Mom and Pop style restaurant in Massachusettes for breakfast. I was wearing a Yankee jersey. Walked in the restaurant and sat down with My Wife and the barbs started..."Yankees suck"..."You suck"..."get out fo here"...the waitress was apologetic and asked that We just ignore the "@@$holes" Well, after a few more I stood up and told them "I wouldn't mind the harrassment if My Wife was not present and I'm ashamed for serving over 27 years to defend the freedom of speach(and others) so that the ignorant @$$holes in this room can freely make sport of Me and ruin My Wifes trip.

It was very quiet after that.

Yankees suck ? Heard it before....will hear it again and it doesn't bother just Me. Where are the Boston guys vacationing ?? Must of gotten a better deal for earlybirds.....

I was Born .62 miles from Fenway Park and I am a die hard Red Sox Fan...I go to games here in St.Pete when Red Sox play the Rays and I wear my Yaz Jersey, I get **** all day long only good thing is every 3rd person is wearing Red Sox stuff..Sorry to the Vet that was treated like ****, but I wonder if I wore my Yaz Jersey to a N.Y. place to eat or a Yankee's game would I have been treated any better or even worse ?? Every Team has ******** for fan's ..I went to see the Pat's play the Eagles in Philly one time and I got tickets at the last minute so I had no Pat's Jersey or team items to wear..I am glad I did not.. They were yelling DEATH threats at those Pat's fans from out of town ...City of brotherly LOVE..NOT...
 
I hate both the Yankees & Red Sox baseball teams, I'm an old Oakland A's fan, haven't watched baseball much, I have to admit since the last greedy *** MLB players strike, kind of pissed me off, last strike sort of thing... I don't yell insults across the room,but I still don't like the damn Yankees or the Red Sox for that matter... I think, most real sports people/fans {unless they are from Philly of course}, really aren't insulting the person, wearing the opposing teams crap, they are really insulting the team of whom that jersey, hat or what ever, stands for, it really depends on what part of the country your in, on who is rude for what...

For the second year in a row in the ALCS,I present...

The Detroit Tigers. Sorry Budnicks;wasn't the A's year,but that's a dangerous team in the future. I see them dominating the West in years to come-The Rangers are old,and the Angels? Not sure what to expect from them-though Trout is a player I'd love to see sportin' the Olde English "D".

Oh;I hate the Yankees as well. I respect them,but still hate 'em. Have since 1969,when they came into Tiger Stadium and swept the Tigers in a doubleheader that I attended.

It's hard to believe what so many fans have become. It's just a freakin game for crying out loud. Anyways, there's only two kinds of yankees. One is a damn yankee and the other is a GD yankee. A damn yankee is one who comes to the south and then goes home. The other is one who comes to the south and stays. I stayed! :D
 
That is a good youtube link on president Bush and Yankee stadium. I agree Bush was a great president his first term and slacked on the second term. Yankees to me are the Dallas Cowboys of football. I love to hate them both. I generally root for any team playing them, besides I am A PA boy and you got to love the Phillies.
I am definitely pulling for Baltimore Orioles to clean the Yankees clock tonight.
 
Yankees suck ?? ... ...do your kids a favor from the time their born...make them Yankee fans ..it will be a lot easier on them and they will enjoy baseball ...even in October :)

The difference between the Yankees and the Cowboys is the Cowboys really do suck.
 
A's my second favorite team ...In H.S. we tried talking the coasch into letting us wear White Cleats like the A's..I really liked Reggie, Catfish, Bando and the like...White cleats was a No go..Then we tried growing hair on our upper lip just like the A's....Even borrowing Mom's Mascara did not help...But, like the A's we ended up Champ's as New Hampshire State Champs in 1974 the height of my glory..

Well;it's set. Tigers-Yankees and Cards-Giants. Any combination in the World Series would be worth watching. Hoping the Tigers take care of the Bombers and the Cards beat Frisco-I want another shot at the Cards! We OWE those @#$%&*@!!! I want to OWN them this year!
