This is really how bad things are with the leadership in this Country...

For those of you who have never traveled to the west, or southwest,
cattle guards are horizontal steel rails placed at fence openings,
in dug-out places in the roads adjacent to highways (sometimes across highways), to prevent cattle from crossing over that area. For some reason the cattle will not step on the "guards," probably because they fear getting their feet caught between the rails.

A few months ago, President Obama received and was reading a report that there were over 100,000 cattle guards in Colorado . The Colorado ranchers had protested his proposed changes in grazing policies, so he ordered the Secretary of the Interior to fire half of the "cattle" guards immediately!
Before the Secretary of the Interior could respond and presumably try to straighten President Obama out on the matter, Vice-President Joe Biden, intervened with a request that...before any "cattle" guards were fired, they be given six months of retraining.

'Times are hard,' said Joe Biden, 'it's only fair to the cattle guards and their families be given six months of retraining! '

And these two guys are running our country,

What a couple of Aye-holes. People jumped all over George Bush for making a few mistakes, but the same media gives these two idiots a pass.

Really? Check out snopes.com on this subject. Let's not pass on crap that's not true. There's enough odd stuff to report without made up stuff...

Funny none the less. But have you ever 'snoped' snopes? Just a man and a woman searching... the internet to see if the internet is correct. Seriously.
 
Snope's is a joke IMHO. I cannot recount the times that I have been hammered over the Coals by acquaintances...Liberal Progressives and the like...because I don't use Snope's. And why should I in this instance any way??? I merely posted this for some good natured poking and prodding and mainly some laughs. Because it is so Damn typical of the Clowns in Washington in the first place...I just wouldn't put it past them that in fact there is some truth to this....my 2 cents

Yep... Just another spin on what "that site believes to be true", it's all very subjective...
 
cr8crshr: If this post had been presented in the 'jokes, funny stuff' forum I wouldn't have said anything. If you don't think snopes is a good source for information, that's your prerogative. My problem (yes, it's MY problem) is that this was presented as fact or gossip and things like this take on a life of their own. How many people now think this is true? Do you even care?
 
what if it is true not saying it is but snopes has been caught in several lies and had to recant and tell the truth.
 
I don't care if it's true or not, it's funny and I've seen allot of absolute ignorance and lies out of both of them that can't be denied.

GEEEZZZZ Louise there CO Dave. Take it easy on me will ya??? I believe that this Forum is "Anything Goes" so that is why I put it here. Not that it really is a joke either for that matter. Next time I will be sure to get your OK before I decide where and to what extent I will post something of this nature. Hopefully you are not one of those types that are currently mucking up our great State with outrageous Liberal agendas now. But if you are then that does explain it now doesn't it???? Repeating gossip that isn't true? If you don't think that the snopes article was true, it's easy enough to research through federal records. But, I know, it was just a joke, so why bother? Yup, it's funny and is a joke that's at least 50 years old or older and is told the world over.....didn't need to search snopes or any other fact site to know about this one lol. First time I saw a cattle guard I was a kid and asked what it was. "Well son, dat dare is a cattle guard and we don't have to pay it no money to do the job" I thought he was kidding and laughed and said, no really, what's it for lol. This was my uncle and he looked at me and asked where I came from and proceeded to look at me like I was dumber than hell but explained it to me and how it works. That was 1964 and then cracked the joke about the gooberment firing all the real live cattle guards because it was costing them too much and they had to replace them with the steel guards and started laughing.

Lighten up, it's a damn joke "DUDE"...LOL... & yes I'm over 50 & still use it sometimes in that specific context that it belongs...
