I am looking to install a speed control on my 65. Looking to take a few big road trips over the next two years. I am not worried about it looking original as long as I don’t have to butcher my car. I thought I would as opinions before starting my search.
Thanks in advance.

It could be a problem acquiring all the parts for an original setup. My Superbird was bought from the original owner. He bought the car new in 71 and had cruise control added. In restoration I decided to keep the cruise control and it still works great today.

If you can find a 5th Ave at a u-pull, it has everything you need.

Not all parts are correct for older cars but they are useable.

Be sure to get the roll pin and pivot clip that holds the CC cable to the carb throttle lever.
Most forgotten part by folks stripping the CC stuff.

My buddy has a bunch of Ramchargers, he said I can strip one from that if I want.
