1973 B5 blue w/red stripes Road Runner GTX sunroof car with 59k mile original paint original survivor

That is great you got it running. I got a service manual off of ebay for $30 about a year ago Turkey rod run is soon and there are 2 or 3 guys there selling manuals, and sales brochures.
Thanks!!! I cant say I'm not relieved even thought I was pretty sure it would. You just never really know, especially when they sit so long. I will probably be doing the "as suggested" ebay route just for speed and simplicity on the manual, although if I can make it happen there is a pretty good Mopar show in Ocala FL this coming week. I'm thinking about trailering the car up there and scrounging around the swap meet section looking for a few things, manual included. I was really hoping to atleast have the torsion bar in 1st before showing it but I haven't located one yet. I'll see how the nexr day or two go.

One thing I'm curious about is the R11 radio, I have a rear speaker and a RR Speaker knob which I'm assuming is a fader. In my mind, an AM radio wouldn't have been ordered to have both of these. This might make sense if the ordering dealer checked the wrong box and miss ordered the R11 and they had to install the AM FM before delivery. Any thoughts on this?

Dealer installed AM/FM. Or sometime after purchase to now.

Is there a speaker grille(s) on the package tray?

The rear package shelf has perforations on both the right and the left side, I assume that's what you would call the grills. The driver's side has the factory rear speaker harness running thru the rocker and up under the back seat into the trunk. Any thoughts on the knob I pictured?

The knob is the rear speaker balance adjuster. Came with dealer installed kits.

Some of the dealer installed kits had metal speaker grates.

This car was delivered to the dealer with AM radio and one dash speaker.

The Broadcast sheet shows a rear speaker, I can only think they dealer mis coded the order sheet with the R11. This was a customer ordered car and not for inventory. Edited... I did just find a 73 RR and copy of it's broadcast sheet showing it ordered with a R11 that also has a rear speaker and a fader knob.

New for 1973 Satellite, the AM/FM Monaural Radio is a moderately priced, but powerful receiver for the enjoyment of static-free FM stations. It is fully transistorized for instant sound, rugged durability and minimum use of battery current. It includes five push buttons for favorite station selection and a tone control. A rear speaker with balance control is optional.

AM Solid-State Radio. This transistorized radio requires only a trickle of battery current. A rear speaker with balance con-trol is optional.

Another question.... "road runner only, deluxe steering wheel (tuff wheel)" says road runner medallion. I've never seen a tuff wheel with a medallion on it including mine, any thoughts? The only "medallion" I can think of inside the car is the character Road Runner on the dash above the glove box, but I would believe this would be on all RR's and not just A88 equipped cars

Deluxe steering wheel and Tuff wheel are TWO different parts. Deluxe wheel is a spoke wheel. Tuff wheel is a padded wheel.

Thanks for the clarification, would the deluxe wheel have a medallion then? I will have to look for a picture of one as I don't think I've ever seen one

RADIO - ANT - SPKS

Your fender tag and broadcast sheet have R11 which is the AM radio.

Also, your broadcast sheet has a numeral "1" under the "3-" box for the rear speaker. You only mentioned finding rear speaker wiring on one side of the car.

My best guess/speculation:

1) the AM radio was swapped out for the AM-FM radio after the car was built. Swapped out by the dealership or a car owner.

2) the car was built with a rear speaker.

3) I do not see another code on the broadcast sheet showing the car was built with the optional "balance control". The fader (balance control) was added by the dealership or car owner when they swapped out the AM radio with the AM-FM unit.

All of the above to say I agree with @autoxcuda
:D

Line 3 Build Code on your broadcast sheet should address the steering wheel type and steering wheel color.

Cool it was ordered with rear speaker.

maybe someone added the rear fader when they upgraded to AM/FM.

To me it’s a fairly uniquely and deliberately optioned car. Expensive RR/GTX, but then RM21 coupe with fixed 1/4 window (cheaper), and then sunroof, A/C, etc.
