Who else has an original spare tire in the trunk? My 67 RT still has the original Firestone red line tire with the little nubs still present. It doesn't look like it was ever used. The original owner who I bought the car from owned a service station so he likely took very good care of the tires.

Winter blend is always higher in vapor pressure, but 60's gas was a higher vapor pressure for all seasons. Thank the EPA for crappy gas.

The vapor pressure of today's gasoline is lower than it was in the 60's when a lot of these cars were made, due to emissions regulations. Newer fuel injected cars don't care and always start cold, but carbureted cars need heat in the manifold to properly vaporize today's gas, and may run rough...

Understood. Then pre-1968 cars where only date codes and casting numbers tell the story, it's obviously nearly impossible to prove "numbers matching" or original to car without statements from previous owners.
