So what you're recommending is to remove the proportioning valve piston assembly and adapt the disc/drum distribution block to disc/disc, instead of buying a new distribution block specifically for disc/disc. Is that correct? If so, great idea!

I sold the hood and fenders but still have the grill which is slightly banged up but definitely fixable and the lower valence.

Agree with Kennith and can confirm. I have a 68 charger that had the front end converted to a 1970. I'm restoring back to 1968 and can definitely confirm that the lever mechanism and secondary hood latch are completely different. I'm still looking for a 68/69 lever, ebay prices are insane...
