The power steering belt does not go around the water pump pulley..... it is only driven from p/steering to the crank pulley. I might
have the correct single groove water pump
pulley.
I have looked at it better........ and I see a wider area underneath, just down from the ball joint, but also there is a bumper stop already mounted on the upper A frame.
So, not really sure which side it is. Sorry, I couldn't be of more help.
IIRC..... It's SAE 9/16"x18 thread. I agree with member 69Bee that you should replace the nut if you can, especially if the threads can't be fixed correctly with a thread chaser for the nut.

and has done many! Extremely knowledgeable on Ma Mopar switches, and probably many others. Many members here are running his fully restored pieces..... without any complaints that I have heard of.
