The Denso unit on my Savoy is only 80 amps and it works great. As posted above the Lexus unit is compact so it fits in a very tight engine bay. 130 amps would be more than adequate. Make sure you get a genuine Denso reman or new $300-$500 not cheap but will last hundreds of thousands of miles.
The car is a 66 Charger with a 396 stroker Poly head engine that runs surprisingly strong. It doesn't have a mid plate in it. Somebody put a lot of money into the engine and transmission with custom pistons and a decent grind cam and an old Weiand intake.
He wanted me to try and see if there was any interest in somebody to buy it. Problem is it is for an early transmission 62-66 small input shaft 19 spline unit. I drove the car and it's a good converter but it has a very limited market.
I did a transmission for a friend and he wanted the less drag race converter installed. The converter he had in the car stalled around 3800-4000 and wasn't very street cruiser friendly. I'm pretty sure it's a custom built unit.
Yes they are building the new shop on the property west of the track on the spectator side. Now I have to wonder if the IHRA knows about the construction project going on there. Pretty sure Ron just sold them the acreage.
The guys at Big 3 racing might know the real scoop. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have started building a multi million dollar race shop there if they knew the track was going to be sold for property.

Yes they are pricey and they have a few bad reviews on the Summit site.
I found a few of the older billet models online cheap that I'm going to try before I step up and spend the big bucks for a new one.
Thanks
I just got an Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump and I'm thinking about installing a fuel pump controller to limit the voltage when at lower RPM's to keep everything cool and less wear on the pump.
Still going to run a bypass or a return to the tank.
Any thoughts or experience on this setup?
Thanks
Gus
It is pretty deep for a street car so the customer might end up changing it for that reason. He also installed a deep pan on his engine while the trans is out so they both will be hanging low.
Yeah probably the exact same pan. I have to deal with cleaning sealer off of late model engines I work on for a living and I hate it. So I try to avoid using it whenever I can.
Just installed the deep pan on my customers transmission. Very thick rails that won't leak no matter what gaskets you use. It comes with a Dacron filter and a premium Felpro composite gasket.
If I ran an automatic it would have one of these pans.
Well both my parents died young, Dad first at 66 with Prostate cancer and mom at 71 with brain cancer issues. Luckily her blood vessel broke and she went quick before the agony of living with brain cancer. I'm only 62 and don't really have any plan in place for my eventual demise. People in my...
