I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or not. Didn’t the IHRA shut down a track in FLA and try to sell the land for warehousing?

I don’t see anything on IHRA or Dragway 42 sites, so this ma be a BS rumor.

I can only find this reported on Facebook, Instagram and X... so it MUST be true!

There’s a video of the owner saying it at the awards banquet. Low quality, hard to hear, and very little info. But it seems legit.

Where did they get the $$$, they were defunct just a couple months ago
I did read on Dragzine Newsletter a while back now
Allen Rienhardt (spell) former tech & annalist from NHRA, is the new Pres. of IHRA
maybe he found some funding, backers & sponsors

Mike Dunn couldn't, not for any LACK OF HIM TRYING EITHER

It seems a bit outside of their finances, big leap
unless they had or found a shitload of cash/backers/sponsors, all of a sudden
&/or a crapload of borrowed cash/loans/debt to start out, to be buying a dragstrip,
when they were literally bankrupt 6-7 months ago, ceased operations...

If I’m not mistaken, IHRA and WDRA just merged.
It could be some weird money games. Makes me nervous.

Summit Racing has usually a 5-10yr plan going forward. Can’t really see them helping out? Course, could be mistaken.

The guys at Big 3 racing might know the real scoop. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have started building a multi million dollar race shop there if they knew the track was going to be sold for property.
