I had something similiar on my 69 Charger except it was riveted on but from what I understand it didn't come from the factory that way it was usually a dealer added moulding to help prevent parking lot door dings. My personal opinion it looks way better without it.

From the pics it looks like the motor is smaller in diameter but I am wondering if the overall length of the motor is shorter as well? The reason I ask is I am wondering if it would clear an air grabber air cleaner instead of having to convert to a 3 speed wiper motor setup.

This option is on the cheap and might work for you, just get a .030 overbore low compression Silvolite 440 piston which has a deck height of 1.912 which should get you close to deck height and the pistons only cost $206. You would have to most likely have to HONE out the bore about .010" over...

Just some info on if you going the aluminum head route I think the only two heads that come with straight spark holes are the Stealth heads and the E Street 84 CC Edelbrock heads the rest come with the angled plugs which might or might not work in your application.
