I’ve always had good luck with just the pan. I can see how if things had been milled a lot maybe use gaskets. I have had the intake milled as well to get good alignment. I would think with two gaskets per side, it would be tough to have the port openings line up perfectly.
I read in Mopar Action many years ago about a 68 or 69 ‘Bee with a stroked 400 with Mopar aluminum heads. He’s last name was Daughtry I think. He was running low 10’s I believe. At some point RE claimed the car had dipped into the high 9’s. Does anyone have any pictures or more info on this car...
My car fell off blocks under the k frame, and a block dented my oil pan. It cracked my oil pickup female thread in the block. The pickup tube was loose. I wrapped the male thread with Teflon tape. Still has 60 lbs at idle.
Rancid nuts can poison you? I’ve definitely eaten rancid peanuts at the bar while drinking. I think I’ve eaten fruitcake toasted with butter on it, not too horrible….
