    Inland. He has a HURST SHIFTER MECHANISM, with a repro Inland handle. That is what I understood from the OP.

    The pilot bearing could be worn, allowing the input shaft to flop around. Something to consider.

    Don's Custom Exhaust in Ohio. Reasonably priced, great fit and a nice guy. I have purchased from him 3 times now. Check him out. Shipping pipes is always expensive, so I pick everything up at Carlisle.
